TDY Blacksmith Shop

A very knowledgeable man who is passionate about sharing his experience and skills with others. On one of our meetings he was also happy to share his roof with me during a sudden downpour. When it comes to his work with the hammer he'll work with you to help ensure you get what you were looking for, and if he doesn't have an answer he usually knows how to find one.

My handcrafted roses - black, white, and silver - are stunning. Everyone has to take a second look to realize they were made by an absolute craftsman. My favorite comment: Some people just gotta show off. :) It was a pleasure doing business with TDY, and I look forward to getting more things made!

I took a beginner class months ago, and loved it! The workshop itself is clean, and the class was well planned for the number of students and equipment available. There was plenty of room to watch demonstrations. The information was comprehensive and easy to understand, and the instructions were very clear and to the point. The instructor/owner is a very skilled blacksmith. He showed us current projects he was working on including decorative pieces, functional works, and repairs. He explained details of each piece we discussed and gave a great comprehensive view of a wide range of skills. The location for the class was somewhat remote, but the directions were easy to follow. In the end I decided blacksmithing wasn't for me. It's just not something I'm personally interested in pursuing, but I felt confident in that decision and am glad I gave it a shot!
